Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 20, 2026  ยท  Last Updated: April 20, 2026

The short version: FlowMoSNMP doesn't collect any personal data or phone home to its developer. No analytics, no crash reports, no tracking. SNMP polling flows only between your Mac and the devices you configure. Optional iCloud sync is described below.

Overview

FlowMoSNMP ("the App") is a native macOS menu bar application that monitors bandwidth on SNMP-enabled devices you configure. This privacy policy describes how the App handles information.

Information We Collect

FlowMoSNMP does not collect any personal information. The App does not:

Network Data

The App communicates exclusively with SNMP-enabled devices on the network(s) you configure within the App. All SNMP polling and counter retrieval occurs directly between your Mac and those devices, never through any server operated by the App developer. No telemetry, usage data, crash reports, or diagnostics are transmitted to the App developer at any time.

Data Storage

Configuration data (device IP addresses, SNMP community strings, polling preferences, rolling totals, and peak rates) is stored locally on your Mac in UserDefaults. SNMPv3 authentication passwords are stored separately in the macOS Keychain.

If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings → System, configuration data is optionally synced across your Macs via Apple services, in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy:

iCloud Sync can be disabled at any time in Settings → System → iCloud Sync. Remove Data from iCloud deletes the App's data from iCloud without affecting local settings on the current Mac. No configuration data or network statistics are ever transmitted to the App developer.

Third-Party Services

FlowMoSNMP does not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics platforms, crash reporters, or third-party cloud services, except for Apple's iCloud, which is used solely for optional configuration sync as described above, and solely when you opt in.

Children's Privacy

FlowMoSNMP does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes in a future version of the App, the updated policy will be published at this URL and the "Last Updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
